Flip the Bird Aviary takes great pride in the
babies we raise and guarantee, at the time of sale, that the bird(s) are in excellent health and disease free to the
best of our knowledge.
Flip the Bird Aviary will provide each of
our bird(s) with a seven
day health guarantee for PBFD,
PSITTACOSIS, POLYOMA, and PACHECOS, non-treatable pre-existing conditions that affect the health and well-being of the bird(s) or genetic deformities. This guarantee is only available PROVIDED
you have the bird(s) tested by a QUALIFIED AVIAN VETERINARIAN. Valid documentation must be provided for verification from
the QUALIFIED AVIAN VETERINARIAN!
Please make an appointment to visit your avian
veterinarian prior to picking-up your bird, so that the health guarantee will cover the time period allotted.
This guarantee is only VALID if the bird(s) are
not kept in the same air space as other birds in your home. For this reason, we are happy to keep the bird(s) at our
facility for one week past delivery date until DNA disease testing results are determined. The DNA disease testing will be
done at your expense. If we receive verification that one of the above conditions is diagnosed, YOU agree, at our discretion,
that we will either refund the entire purchase price to YOU, or replace the bird(s) with another one of the same species,
sex (if known at time of sale) of similar age.
In the event that you fail to have the bird(s)
examined by a QUALIFIED AVIAN VETERINARIAN within the seven day period, the health and fitness guarantee stated above is NULL and VOID.
In the event that the bird(s) die within the seven
day guarantee period YOU must immediately refrigerate ( not freeze ) the body in a zip lock bag and deliver it to a QUALIFIED
AVIAN VETERINARIAN or LABORATORY for a necropsy ( within 24 hours) to determine the cause of death.
Refund or replacement, if any, will be based
on the cause of death ( PBFD, PSITTACOSIS, POLYOMA, PACHEOS, NON-TREATABLE PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS THAT AFFECTTHE HEALTH AND
WELL-BEING OF THE BIRD(S) AND GENETIC DEFORMITIES).
No refund or replacement on inconclusive findings, only on the above conditions. You MUST submit the leg band back to Love Shack Aviary along with a written necropsy report
or there will be no refund or replacement.
Flip the Bird Aviary cannot be held
responsible for the cost of examination, testing, histopathology or necropsy. Necropsy will only be covered, if death
is caused by any of the conditions stated above.
All sales
are final. No returns or refunds, except as stated above. While we make every effort to ensure our babies are sweet,
lovable and well socialized, there is no guarantee on how they will mature in your home. You are responsible in the
training and behaviour of your bird.
